Register for one year’s cover on new domestic appliances, on top of the standard one-year manufacturers’ warranties, for breakdown caused by accidental damage.

Children's health cover
Private-patient treatment for your children is available to Premier Life customers at a discounted fee.

RAC breakdown cover
UK roadside assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a nationwide recovery service to anywhere in the UK. Breakdown cover also includes designated European countries.

Travel insurance
Worldwide family multi-trip insurance cover, up to the age of 80 years, including business travel and winter sports.

HomeSOS - domestic emergency cover
Covers specified emergency repairs such as plumbing problems, blocked drains, central heating or boiler failure, gas or electricity failure.

24 hour legal helpline
Lines are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. An independant team of qualified legal advisors is on call.

Identity support advice
The advice line for customers concerned about identity theft.

Worldwide Lifestyle Management Service

Cooling Off

If you are not happy with your account, you have a 14 day period in which to contact us to cancel your account or switch to another account. This period begins on the date your account is opened or the date you receive your terms and conditions and other account information, whichever is the later. If you contact us within this period to cancel or switch your account, we will refund any account fees you may have paid. However, if you cancel or switch your account at a later date, you will not be refunded the account fees that you have paid. If you wish to cancel or switch your account, you should tell us by writing to Barclays, Leicester LE87 2BB.

Your Feedback

We want to hear from you if you feel unhappy with the service you have received from us. Letting us know your concerns gives us the opportunity to put matters right for you and improve our service to all our customers.

You can complain in person at your branch, in writing, by email or by telephone. If we do not resolve your complaint internally to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service at South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London E14 9SR (Tel: 0845 080 1800). The Financial Ombudsman Service is an organisation set up by law to give consumers a free and independent service for resolving disputes with financial firms. Details of those who are eligible complainants can be obtained from the Financial Ombudsman Service.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme

Barclays Bank PLC is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The FSCS protects deposits with the bank up to a total of £50,000 per depositor. Most depositors, including individuals and small firms, can benefit from this type of protection. The Scheme covers deposits made with branches of the bank in the UK and within the European Economic Area and deposits in all currencies are treated alike. This Scheme is not applicable to deposits held at branches in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
