If you're an existing customer and want to upgrade to a debit card, contact your local branch (debit cards are subject to status).

* A 2.75% charge for Barclays handling costs and any Visa processing fees is included in the sterling conversion on your statement. All card payments made in a currency other than sterling will be converted into sterling by the card scheme (e.g. Visa or MasterCard) on the date it processes the transaction, using the exchange rate it uses for all sterling-based accounts (this rate is available on request), and a percentage commission which we set on the amount of the payment. This rate may be different from the rate that applied on the date the transaction was made, if the payment is processed by the card scheme after that date. Please read full rates and charges.
